download & print

There's got to be a catch.  Free invitation templates that you can download and print at home?  That are really, really pretty?  Yup. Courtesy of Download & Print. It's really that easy.  Almost easier.  (But if you're invited to Zuzu's 4th birthday party this summer and one of these shows up... please just ooh and aah like you think I've done something extraordinary!)

No, not mine, silly. HERS. Just visit Lemon Drop Studio's blog before Tuesday, April 28th and read THIS POST. Do what she says and you can win the fabulous note card set pictured above. Trust me. Just do it. But wait, why am I sharing this with you when I want to win it myself? Guess I'm just thoughtful like that. Plus I really dig Shauna and Lemon Drop Studio. Now go...

let's party!

These lovely labels are courtesy of a new Etsy shop called Print Your Party. Their assortment runs the gamut from invitations to party decor and obviously includes several different shapes and sizes of labels. But the brilliance factor here is that they are all provided as printable downloads. So they are affordable for the buyer (you provide your own printer and paper) and the seller doesn't have to carry any inventory. It's a win win situation.

There are several successful companies out there already doing this with paper goods but I love the way Print Your Party has positioned themselves as the complete party resource. They also do a great job displaying the labels and offering creative solutions for favors and table decorations. I chose to show you the baby collection (cause it's pink, I like birds & it merchandises well on the blog) but there are several other diverse collections to choose from. And you'll just have to check those out for yourself now won't you...

paper cakes & pretty things...

Have I really not blogged here in five days? Yikes! Apparently I've been far too busy with the darn parenting part of my life. Luckily, I've got a few things up my sleeve, so I'll do my best to make up for it tonight...

Have you met Paper*Cakes? I'm not sure where I first stumbled upon her. Whether it was on flickr, or twitter, or etsy, or blogger but she's everywhere and her style is super cute. Her assortment runs the gamut from cards, to stickers, to crafting kits & supplies. Take a peek. Here are some of my favorites...

She's even started a new blog called Paper*Cakes Finds where she profiles other cute, kitchy shops, blogs, crafts and more.

One of the artists that Paper*Cakes featured on her new blog is Lori Marie and her shop is called Pretty Little Things. Lori's jewelry collection is called Happily Ever After and it is not only happy...it's pretty too. Please enjoy a few of my favorites...
