decorate

If you've been reading any decor blogs at all lately you are aware that Holly Becker's book is finally available.  Holly is the designer behind the popular blog decor 8. One of my personal favorite haunts.

The book is currently out in limited release. I picked mine up at Anthropologie this weekend. I was a little hesitant to drop $35 on a design book until I opened it. And it didn't take but a moment before I was sold. All 271 pages are truly inspirational.  Beautiful from start to finish.

Two very discriminating thumbs up.

louis lemaire. and the blue dining table.

I'm so in love with these photographs by Louis Lemaire that I want to run out first thing tomorrow morning, buy a can of blue paint, and re-finsh my already fabulous dining room table. They almost make me want to start eating poached eggs as well. Almost.

Louis photographs interiors and food as well as people. And does all equally as well. Beautiful subjects. Beautiful work. And I'm so happy I found her here.

nesting

Love the rooms you see above? Yup, me too.
Want to know where they came from? Yup, so did I.
I couldn't say it better myself.  So why try?
From Nesting's lovely website...

"Nesting is a book consisting of 26 interesting homes. The Swedish version of The Selby! They have been documented over a period of 7 years, randomly chosen by the authors; Cilla Ramnek and Pia Ulin. The places and images are for real and not staged in any way. Exept for Cillas spontaneous styling with some of the home-owners things. The images always shot with the conditions provided by the space and light that existed only then. Please be inspired by these amazing homes.
The book is available for purchase at Papercut."

Thanks go to decor8 for the introduction.
